Topcats is a subsidiary of Total Cats International b.v (TCI) which was founded in 2000 and has been located in Lelystad since 2005.

During that period, it became clear that catalytic converters did not last for the car's entire lifespan. This cannot be blamed on the quality of the catalytic converter, but mainly on the fact that the car's lifespan is gradually increasing.
Research had clearly shown that there was little specialist knowledge available in the market and that the costs of replacement were extremely high for the end user.

TCI was founded to provide a range to cover cars that had been produced for more than 4 years. At that time, under the brand name of Topcats, TCI produced a whole range of catalytic converters, light-duty particulate filters, front pipes, connection pipes, manifolds, flexible sections and lambda probes.

The Topcats catalytic converter range consists of products from five of the largest manufacturers. This procurement and production strategy enables TCI to offer products with the best price/quality ratio in the market.

Since it moved to Lelystad, TCI has undergone further development and the company focuses on several environmental-automotive products, in addition to catalytic converters, plus heavy-duty particulate filters.

Since 2008, Topcats has been the exclusive importer of Pirelli particulate filter systems in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. In Germany too, the German branch of the company (Topcats GmbH) has an office for the supply of these systems.
The cooperation between Pirelli Eco Technology and Topcats Particulate Filters results in a perfect exchange of knowledge and experience.

Pirelli supplies the car industry and Topcats has many years of experience in the Benelux region, with light and heavy-duty applications at dealers, transport companies and government authorities. The combination results in short delivery times and customised solutions for specific requirements; where necessary there is direct communication with the manufacturer of the vehicle or the machine.

A different division, Topdek Alternateak, offers the shipping sector a synthetic teak product based on PVC. Topcats' large warehouse facility guarantees rapid deliveries of the entire product range within 24 hours.
